The Everest Three Passes Trek is the most difficult and challenging high-altitude trekking circuit in the Everest (Khumbu) region of Nepal. The route crosses three major Himalayan passes Kongma La Pass (5535m), Cho La Pass (5420m), and Renjo La Pass (5360m) all above 5300m. Tour Itineraries

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding

We fly from Kathmandu airport to Lukla. And we begin our journey from Lukla. It is an easy trial from Lukla to Phakding. After 40 mins we will enter cheplung village and as we continue we will catch our first views of the Dudh Koshi river. We will pass many villages, suspension bridge, forest on the way to Phakding. This well be our first night stay.

Phakding to Namchhe Bazaar

We will follow the trial of Dudh Koshi valley north above the west bank of the river. Along the trek we will see the interspersed village with magnificent forests of rhododendrons, magnolia and fir. We will enter Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo. On the way we will across many suspension bridges. Now finally after 5-6 hrs of walk we will reach one of the most attractive settlements in the Khumbu- Namche Bazaar.

Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar

Today we will be exploring Namche Bazaar. We need stop and adapt the high altitude environment to avoid the symptioms of AMS further up the trial. We will make a short hikes around the Namche Bazzar to get the beautiful views of mountains like Nuptse(7861m), Everest (8848.86m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Thamsekru(6608m).

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

After acclimation on Namche Bazar we will continue our trek to Tengboche. The trial goes up and down to Tengboche. We will see famous Tengboche gompa which gives you spiritual feeling in the environment. You will get the view of distinctive peak of Ama Dablam, Everest, Lhotse. After 4-5 hrs of trek we reach to Tengboche .

Tengboche to Dingboche

This morning we will continue our trek to Dingboche from where we can see the entire Himalayan ranges in Khumbu District. We will follow the trial along the west bank of Imja river. We will cross a small bridge over the Khumbu khola at 4130m and then we climb beside the river to reach Dingboche.

Dingboche to Chukkung

Today’s trek is somehow difficult and challenging in comparison to other days because there won’t be any hotels, tea houses or any source of water on the way. So we need to cxarry plenty of water .You will get great mountain views of Lhotse, Makalu, Nuptse, Barunche, Thamaserku, etc.

Acclimatization in Chukkung

To adapt the high altitude environment we will stay one more night in Chukkung. We will go for a hike to Chhukung Ri or to Island Peak Base Camp along the Lhotse Glacier.

Chukkung to Lobuche over Kongma La

Today is a long day walk so we will start early. It’s a rough trial, there won’t be any hotels or any streams so we need to carry sufficient water. We will cross through Niyang Khola Valley, beneath a menacing wall of black rock. Today we will cross Kongma La Pass and reach Lobuche which is going to be tuff.

Lobuche to Gorak Shep

We will start today’s trek with the narrow gap between glacial moraine and mountain wall, past the turn-off to the Italian Pyramid. We will have our lunch at Gorak Shep and will do a hike to Kala patthar which is at the height of 5545m. We get to see the best view of Mount Everest from this point. And we will come back to Gorak shep and stay overnight.

Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp to Lobuche

Today is the day for Everest Base Camp. We will walk to the Everest Base Camp and enjoy the breath taking view of Mount Everest along with other mountains and trek back to lobuche.

Lobuche to Dzongla

After so many rough and tuff walk today we will have a pleasant walk. The path strikes around the ridge, staying mostly level before dropping into a wide valley at the foot of Cholatse. Afterwards we reach Dzongla and stay overnight there.

Dzongla to Nyimagawa over Cho La pass

Today we will start early from Dzongla. At the beginning we get the beautiful view of Mt. Cholatse and on the way we will get the view of Ama Dablam. As we gain ridge we will reach Cho La Pass after 3 hrs of setting off. From there we will able to see the Cholatse, ama Dablam, Ngozumpa Glacier, Pharilapche, Kyajo Ri. Now we will Descent to Nyimagawa and stay overnight there.

Nyimagawa to Gokyo

It’s an easy walk day. We will descent to Gokyo passing Tagnang within 3 hrs of walk. Afterward as we walk for few more hours we will Gokyo over the moraine wall and groaning Ngozumpa Glacier. We will make our stay to Gokyo today.

Explore Gokyo

It’s a rest day as we did a lot of walk. We will explore Gokyo today. We will visit Gokyo Ri ehich gives awesome views of Everest. We will also hike up to Gokyo lakes. We will visit few more sites and come back to Gokyo and stay overnight.

Gokyo to Marlung over Renjo La

Today we will pass the last pass of this trek-Renjo La Pass. We will start early today so that we make to Marlung on time. We will meet Renjo La after around 4 hrs of walk from Gokyo. From Renjo La we get to see the rooftops of Gokyoon the Ngozumpa Glacier along with the views of other mountains such as Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse and Taboche. We will continue our walk to Marlung and make our overnight stay there.

Marlung to Thame

Today’s trial fro Marlung to Thame is the ancient trial used by traders who transport salt and grains across the Nangpa La into Tibet. We will cross to the western side of Bhote Koshi below Marlung. We cross through Tarngga, Langmuche Khola, beautiful streams. We will have gentle stroll down the valley to Thame.

Thame to Monjo

From Thame we will descend to Namche Bazaar and then to Monjo.

Monjo to Lukla

This is the last day of walking. This is the same way we did while going up. Its an easy walk to Lukla. We will reach there by 3 hrs and explore Lukla and stay overnight.

Lukla to Kathmandu

Today is the last day of trek. We will fly back to Kathmandu.
